From the coastal vistas of Northern California, Piet Dalmolen returns with Constellations, an expansive ten-track sophomore solo record releasing December 4, 2026. Mined from raw journal entries unpacking societal turbulence, parenthood and knowledge of self, the document fuses deep-dish psychedelic rock with hefty slabs of improvisational mojo, and subversive geometrics inspired by John Coltrane. Tracked at Sausalito’s legendary 2200 Studios with a trusted brotherhood of longtime collaborators, the project traverses dynamic musical terrain; from Curtis Mayfield-styled soul-struts and infectious Afrobeat grooves to meditative surf vibrations, greasy funk, and cathartic, Floydian guitar jams. Led by the single "Save Us From Ourselves," Constellations marks a definitive maturation for Dalmolen as a composer, vocalist, and producer, boldly confronting the chaos of the human condition with an optimistic realism.
